THE MEDSPA OWNER’S FIELD NOTES

A $7 lead.
A $70 patient.
Different conversation.

Let’s do the math without quietly changing what the number means.

MEDSPA OWNER REALITY CHECK

You want more patients.
First, you need a straight answer.

Marketing advice can make a simple question feel like homework with a monthly bill. You’re busy running a clinic. Let’s keep this useful.

HERE’S HOW WE HELP.

This guide breaks the question into plain steps. Use it to check your own records, spot a gap, and decide what to ask before spending more.

01

Say which costs you included.

Media-only acquisition cost uses ad spend. A fuller calculation can include agency fees and other campaign costs. Neither number is useful if its definition changes halfway through the discussion.

02

Keep the numbers you divide by straight.

Cost per lead: included cost divided by inquiries. Cost per booking: divided by booked appointments. Cost per attended visit: divided by visits that happened. New-patient cost: divided by unique new patients. Repeat visits don’t suddenly become new patients because the report looks nicer.

03

Use a sensible reporting window.

People don’t all inquire and book on the same afternoon. Use a defined campaign or group of inquiries, allow time for follow-up, and explain how results are counted. A tiny weekly snapshot can miss later decisions.

04

Revenue is not profit.

Collected revenue divided by campaign cost is a revenue ratio. It does not subtract all treatment costs, overhead, refunds, or every marketing expense. Please don’t let a big return number quietly become a profit claim.

05

Use the math to find the next question.

High patient cost can come from expensive inquiries, weak booking, low attendance, or a mix. Split the journey into stages before deciding the ad is the villain. The calculator can help you organize your own figures.

TAKE THE NEXT USEFUL STEP

Don’t overhaul everything because one article gave you a new question. Check your records, identify the constraint, and choose a practical next action.
